ASHTON HOPP
Ashton Hopp is headed into her first year as a special assistant to the head coach for the 2024-25 season. Hopp also spends time working with FCA in the Ole Miss area as a campus rep.
Spending two years as a graduate manager with the Rebels, Hopp helped develop and build the undergraduate student-manager program as well as assist the coordinator of operations with all of the daily duties of the program. She also handled all equipment and gear for the Rebels as well.
A former student manager for the Kansas men’s basketball program, Hopp spent two seasons with the Jayhawk program. Hopp helped with all food operations during the 2020-21 season and was solely responsible with dinner operations for the team. She assisted with various other tasks including practices, game day operations as well as equipment and gear.
In 2020, Hopp built and co-founded Grow the Game with Jake Cerota, former Clemson MBB Student Manager. Grow the Game provides college basketball student managers with free resources and opportunities in professional development and networking to kickstart their careers. Those resources include the Manager Connection, Graduate Assistant Pathway, Summer Development Cohorts, Final Four Events and more. What started as an idea over text message between two student basketball managers has grown into an established non-profit making a positive impact on hundreds of student managers’ lives.
A native of Waynesville, Mo., Hopp graduated from KU in 2021 with a degree in sport management and a minor in business.
